Proteus® & Sanalite® are a family of polyethylene and polypropylene shapes that exhibit a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and high performance in thermoforming and corrosive environments. Proteus™ HDPE
Proteus™ HDPE shapes are used in a variety of environments requiring excellent impact resistance, superior tensile strength, low moisture absorption, great chemical and corrosion resistance and easy fabrication and welding capabilities. Due to these characteristics and properties, Proteus™ HDPE is often a favored solution for components in chain guides, orthotic and prosthetic devices, tanks, thermoformed material handling devices and water storage applications.

Proteus™ Homopolymer PP Natural
Proteus™ Homopolymer PP Natural shapes are characterized by their high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent chemical and corrosion resistance capabilities, thermoforming performance and zero moisture absorption. In addition to these key properties, this grade is also FDA and NSF compliant making it ideal for chemical processing, food processing, storage and medical applications. For their performance and compliance, Proteus™ Homopolymer PP Natural components are often favored in orthotic and prosthetic devices, pump components, storage tanks and valve bodies.

Proteus™ LSG HDPE
Proteus™ LSG HDPE (Life Science Grade) stock shapes are made from HDPE resin and pre-assessed for biocompatibility on both resin and stock shape for up to 24 hours body contact according to USP VI and ISO 10993, as well as wetted contact in bioprocessing.
Proteus™ LSG HDPE shapes exhibit low extractables and leaching, low moisture absorption and great resistance to chemical cleaning agents, allowing parts to retain excellent impact resistance and good tensile strength throughout repeated use. For these reasons, Proteus™ LSG HDPE is a great candidate for upstream applications in bioreactors and downstream applications chromatography and filtration.

Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H

Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H (Life Science Grade) stock shapes are made from high purity polypropylene resin that has undergone additional filtration to remove black particles, thus increasing purity. The material is also pre-assessed for biocompatibility at the stock shape level for wetted contact applications in bioprocessing according to USP VI and ISO 10993.

Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H shapes are characterized by their excellent resistance to chemical cleaning agents and zero moisture absorption. These traits, in combination with their low levels of extractables and leachables, make Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H components a favored solution in the bioprocessing industry for upstream applications in bioreactors (e.g. valves, mixers, impellers), downstream applications in chromatography (e.g. fluid distribution plates) and filtration.

Proteus™ LSG HS PP-H
Proteus™ LSG HS PP-H (Life Science Grade, heat-stabilized) stock shapes are made from high purity polypropylene resin that has undergone additional filtration to remove the last remaining black particles, thus increasing purity. The material is pre-assessed for biocompatibility at the stock shape level for bioprocessing applications according to USP VI and ISO 10993 and is supported for use in non-body contacting medical applications.

Heat-stabilized to provide improved dimensional stability and a higher heat deflection temperature compared with standard polypropylene grades, Proteus™ LSG HS components can withstand repeated steam sterilization cycles and autoclaves and are highly resistant to cleaning agents, disinfectants and various solvents. For these reasons, Proteus™ LSG HS is a strong candidate for medical non-body contact applications such as surgical trays, caddies and device housing components.

Proteus™ LDPE

Proteus™ LDPE lightweight shapes possess a great combination of excellent impact resistance, superior chemical and corrosion resistance, easy machinability and cleaning capabilities and zero moisture absorption. As an extremely flexible grade of low-density polyethylene, components made from Proteus™ LDPE are often used in prosthetic device applications that require drape forming or vacuum forming processes. Due to its flexibility and range of other performance properties, Proteus™ LDPE excels in a variety of industrial and medical environments such as thermoformed parts, impact pads, hinges and die pads.

Sanalite™ HDPE
Sanalite™ HDPE is an odorless and taste-free pebbled finished cutting board material recognized as the industry standard of excellence for use in food preparation and meat/poultry processing. Proteus™ O & P Natural Homopolymer PP

Proteus™ O & P Natural Homopolymer PP shapes maintain the durability required by the orthotics and prosthetics industry, while also exhibiting top thermoforming performance capabilities. In addition to these key characteristics, Proteus™ O & P Natural Homopolymer PP components do not absorb moisture and are also chemical and corrosion resistant. This grade is prevalent in the medical and thermoforming industries, primarily in orthotic and prosthetic device applications.
