Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H (Life Science Grade) stock shapes are made from high purity polypropylene resin that has undergone additional filtration to remove black particles, thus increasing purity. The material is also pre-assessed for biocompatibility at the stock shape level for wetted contact applications in bioprocessing according to USP VI and ISO 10993.
Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H shapes are characterized by their excellent resistance to chemical cleaning agents and zero moisture absorption. These traits, in combination with their low levels of extractables and leachables, make Proteus™ LSG HP PP-H components a favored solution in the bioprocessing industry for upstream applications in bioreactors (e.g. valves, mixers, impellers), downstream applications in chromatography (e.g. fluid distribution plates) and filtration.
Proteus™ LDPE lightweight shapes possess a great combination of excellent impact resistance, superior chemical and corrosion resistance, easy machinability and cleaning capabilities and zero moisture absorption. As an extremely flexible grade of low-density polyethylene, components made from Proteus™ LDPE are often used in prosthetic device applications that require drape forming or vacuum forming processes. Due to its flexibility and range of other performance properties, Proteus™ LDPE excels in a variety of industrial and medical environments such as thermoformed parts, impact pads, hinges and die pads.
Proteus™ O & P Natural Homopolymer PP shapes maintain the durability required by the orthotics and prosthetics industry, while also exhibiting top thermoforming performance capabilities. In addition to these key characteristics, Proteus™ O & P Natural Homopolymer PP components do not absorb moisture and are also chemical and corrosion resistant. This grade is prevalent in the medical and thermoforming industries, primarily in orthotic and prosthetic device applications.
